From where it began
Valuing clear and compassionate communication
I was attracted to clear communication from the start of my career in the world of Learning & Development. My focus was on effectiveness, performance and productivity. As a mother of a neurodivergent child with a genetic syndrome, I found that professional opinions were often negative and blaming. After years of coping with the help of psychotherapy, I decided to study psychology to see if it could give me clear advice on child development.

My professional path
Turned challenges into a profession
From working with groups in organizations I turned to working with individuals and learned coaching. I obtained a PhD with the Taos Tilburg PhD program and did a critical cultural analysis of motherhood. I subsequently trained as a narrative therapist. Today I work with a variety of clients. In my work I help clients to deconstruct the social expectations placed upon them by others and to find their own way of defining themselves.
1980 – 1998 Learning & development specialist to organizational development consultant
I started my career in the hotel industry quickly specializing in personnel training, moved onto the high-tech industry and then launched myself as a freelance consultant.
1998 – 2006 Psychologist and coach
I went back to university to study psychology at the age of 40. After my Bachelor degree, I trained as a coach. I went on to do my Master degree in psychology and am now in the process of being certified as a Coaching psychologist with the BPS.
2009 – 2016 PhD in social construction and narrative therapist
I studied with the Taos Tilburg program to obtain my doctorate on the social construction of a mother’s identity amidst the confluence of motherhood discourses and, during the same period, obtained my diploma in narrative therapy from the Institute of Narrative Therapy in the UK.
2016 – 2021 Team leader / HR / Outplacement
I worked in various organizations in roles of outplacement coach, HR manager and team leader for a program for people on unemployment benefit.
2021 – present EMDR, Mindfulness, Self-Compassion
I have moved from a cartesian, rational outlook to include somatic and compassionate work in my practice.
